— Our Story

A house among the pines, and the long way home.

— A Beginning

We found this land on a Sunday in October.

The pines were doing what pines do — moving quietly, in some private conversation with the wind. We stood at the top of the ridge with cold hands and warm coffee, and knew before either of us spoke that this was the place.

Three years and a great deal of stubbornness later, the old farmhouse had become Hearthstone Manor: a six-room retreat built around a single idea — that rest is a craft, and that hospitality, done right, is one of the great quiet arts.

We chose every linen, every door handle, every variety of pear in the orchard. We work with growers, weavers, and roasters within forty miles. Nothing here is by accident.

— Our Philosophy

Three quiet commitments.

01

Slow on purpose

We don't fill the calendar. We protect the quiet. The pace of a stay is the heart of its luxury.

02

Local, always

Our breakfasts, our wines, our soaps, our beds — sourced from the people and places that surround us.

03

Every detail, twice

If a thing is worth doing, it's worth doing with care. Then worth checking again the next morning.
